Monte Holmes: 16' X 20' In Moses Lake, WA

Intent: To create a mural that told the life story of this famous and historic man.

Description: The mural includes pictures of him at age 2, when he was a sheep farmer; riding the rails as a hobo, standing in the bread lines in Chicago, to his famous house of poverty. He came to this area with only 10 cents in his pocket;. He became very wealthy and generous to anyone he met. I also illustrated his book "once a hobo" that is known around the world. He died the day we hung this mural at age 89.Columbia Basin Herald Article 1 ________Columbia Basin Herald Article 2 _______ Columbia Basin Herald Article 3_____Columbia Basin Herald Article 4_______________Columbia Basin Herald Article 5
